Leeds United saw what £6.5 million target Jarrod Bowen is all about yesterday

Leeds United’s recent winning run came to an abrupt halt yesterday as a resurgent Hull City claimed a 2-0 win at Elland Road. The Tigers were deserving of their win as the two incredible recent fightbacks from Leeds appeared to leave their toll.

Hull’s 2-0 win was inspired by their talented midfielder Jarrod Bowen. The 22-year-old capitalised on two scrappy pieces of Leeds defending to fire beyond Bailey Peacock-Farrell. The brace took his personal tally to 10 goals this season, showing he is well on course to match the 15 he scored last season.

Such form has certainly got the midfielder noticed, including by Leeds United.

According to the Daily Mail, Leeds have identified Bowen as a potential replacement for the Getafe-bound Samuel Saiz in January. The report suggests that a £6.5 million fee might be enough to pry away Hull’s prized asset.

Well, if yesterday was an audition for the Saiz role at Leeds, then Bowen passed with ease.

He took both chances brilliantly and would clearly add another goalscoring dimension to the Leeds United starting XI.

At £6.5 million he would be an astute signing and perhaps the final piece of the promotion puzzle for Leeds.
