It’s been a great start to the season for Leeds United who have taken seven points from their opening four games of the 2020/21 campaign.

The Whites claimed a share of the spoils during a 1-1 draw with Manchester City on Saturday, capturing the hearts of neutrals in the process.

Marcelo Bielsa has got Leeds playing some seriously attractive football and supporters will hope it continues.

As deadline day is upon us we take a lunchtime look at what is going on at Elland Road.

Youngster to leave

Starlet Mateusz Bogusz looks set to be edging closer to a temporary switch out of Elland Road, according to the Yorkshire Evening Post.

The 19-year-old hasn’t found the pathway to first-team football overly clear and will join Spanish outfit UD Logrones.

He made three appearances last season, two in the EFL Cup and one as a substitute on the final day of the campaign.

Bogusz will spend the 2020/21 campaign with the Spanish outfit.

Raphinha edging close

Leeds should complete the signing of Brazilian wingers Raphinha before the deadline closes at 11pm this evening.

The Sun (Live transfer blog; 10:58) are claiming that the Whites will make an initial payment of £15.2 million, with a further £5.4 million in add-ons.

Raphinha will sign from Ligue 1 outfit Reims having only signed for them from Sporting Lisbon a year ago.

Tutto Mercato Web claims the player will sign a long-term deal worth an initial £28,000-a-week.

Gotts to go on loan

Another youngster who could be heading to the exit is Robbie Gotts.

The Yorkshire Evening Post have claimed on their live transfer blog that the 20-year-old could be heading to League One outfit Swindon Town.

Gotts is a product of the club’s youth academy but has struggled to impose himself on the first-team.

The versatile player who can operate at right-back or in midfield has made three appearances for the first-team.

He doesn’t look quite ready to be a permanent fixture under Bielsa, however, and regular game time should do him the world of good.
