Leeds United are keen on the talented Brazilian prospect Gabriel Martinelli. According to TEAMtalk, the Whites are looking at the Ituano star, who is valued at £10 million.
Leeds are not alone. His talents have also caught the eye of Watford and Middlesbrough, according to the same report.
The 17-year-old would certainly be a head-turning transfer pursuit.
Bamford on penalty
Patrick Bamford said there was ‘no chance’ anyone else was taking the penalty he scored against Bolton Wanderers yesterday.
The Leeds striker has struggled with injury this term and wants to catch up usual penalty taker Kemar Roofe. With him absent, Tyler Roberts, Pablo Hernandez and Bamford all wanted to take the spot-kick.
But, as quoted by the Yorkshire Evening Post, he said ‘it didn’t matter’ who else wanted to take the penalty because he was never giving it up.
Speaking after the win against Bolton yesterday Marcelo Bielsa praised the team’s mental strength. Leeds faced a tough task against the relegation candidates and had to dig deep in order to take all three point.
The Argentine stated that his team ‘showed more maturity’ in the 2-1 win.
