Jansson back
Leeds United take on Sheffield United in a Yorkshire derby this weekend and Marcelo Bielsa has been discussing his team’s chances in a press conference this afternoon.
There was also good news on the injury front. Pontus Jansson is now set to return for the game. Bielsa believes the Swede will be ready to return after missing the last two games and the international break with Sweden.
He also lavished praise on the Swede. He claimed he has not seen many players of Jansson’s build that have ‘the same response as a full-back’.

Alioski dive
He also spoke of Ezgjan Alioski’s dive in the recent 1-0 win over Reading. The Macedonian was caught with an Adryan-like moment against the Berkshire side which had fans of both teams fairly disgruntled.
Bielsa said he ‘always rejects cheating’ but refused to condemn Alioski because he ‘likes him a lot’.
Bamford comeback
There is also positive news on Patrick Bamford. According to the Yorkshire Evening Post, the striker could be back in action for Leeds under-23s this week.
It is suggested he may be available to start against Newcastle United’s youngsters on Friday.
Bamford, a £7 million summer arrival, has been out of action since suffering a knee injury in September.
