Jansson injury
Leeds United are sweating over an injury to star defender Pontus Jansson.
The Swedish defender has pulled out of his nation’s latest squad with a foot problem, as reported by Leeds Live. The injury was picked up in the 4-1 loss to West Brom at the weekend.
Leeds will be hoping the injury is not serious. The club are currently without Luke Ayling, Gaetano Berardi and Tom Pearce at the back because of injury trouble. Losing Jansson would be a massive blow.

‘Perfect’ timing
Former Leeds United striker Noel Whelan believes that the international break has come at the perfect time for the club.
Leeds were humbled by West Brom at the weekend. The Baggies cruised to a 4-1 victory as a visibly stretched Leeds side struggled to cope with their pacey attack.
Whelan feels that the time off gives the players time to ‘reflect’ on what went wrng so they can ensure it doesn’t happen again.
Strachan’s belief
Another former Leeds player has been discussing the club’s fortunes this week. Gordon Strachan, who won the First Division title with Leeds, believed Leeds are a club that ‘should’ be in the top-flight.
He also added his belief that Leeds would ‘absolutely’ make the Premier League better should they win promotion this season.
