Leeds United round-up: Harrison injured, Saiz feels the love and Bamford’s international future

Leeds United will be without the services of Jack Harrison for the game with Blackburn Rovers this weekend. The loanee is set to miss two games with a ‘muscular’ problem. Barry Douglas is also absent, as is the suspended Luke Ayling.

However, on the whole, Leeds have good injury news, As confirmed by Leeds Live, Gaetano Berardi, Pablo Hernandez and Kemar Roofe are all fit.

Long-term absentees Izzy Brown and Patrick Bamford remain sidelined.

Saiz feels the love

Samuel Saiz says he has not considered leaving Leeds United. The Spanish playmaker was linked with a move back to Spain in the summer, after an exciting but tumultuous first term in England.

However, as reported by Leeds Live, he has explained he feels ‘lucky’ to be playing in a ‘beautiful’ city and says he enjoys the love of the fans.

Bamford for Ireland

Injured striker Patrick Bamford could be set for an international call-up for the Republic of Ireland. The Telegraph reports the England under-21 international will be pursued by Martin O’Neill once he has recovered from a knee injury.

Bamford represented Ireland once at under-18 level and qualifies through the grandparent rule.
