Forshaw praised

Leeds United boss Marcelo Bielsa has praised the display of Adam Forshaw in the 1-1 draw with Nottingham Forest yesterday.

The midfielder missed the start of the season with a foot injury but played the full 90 minutes of the game yesterday.

He put in a solid display which Bielsa labelled ‘very good’. Forshaw was brought in to replace Samuel Saiz.

Pearce considering future

Leeds United left-back Tom Pearce is considering his future at the club. The Sun on Sunday reports (28/10/2018; pg 59) that the 20-year-old is considering an exit after falling down the pecking order at Elland Road.

He only signed a new deal at the club in the summer after impressing at the end of last season. However, he finds himself behind Barry Douglas, Stuart Dallas, Gaetano Berardi and Ezgjan Alioski in the left-back pecking order.

Pearce is being monitored by Everton and Bournemouth but would consider joining another Championship club.

Diagne competition

Leeds are reportedly keen on the signature of Mbaye Diagne, but will have competition from Galatasaray.

Fanatik are reporting that the £9 million-rated striker is on the Turkish side’s shortlist for January.

However, they too will not meet the asking price for his services.

The report claims the Turkish giants will only go as high as £4.4 million for his services.
