‘Spygate’ rumbles on

The EFL is formally investigating ‘spygate’. Leeds United boss Marcelo Bielsa admitted sending a member of staff to watch over Derby County training, who was subsequently apprehended by police.

In a statement, the League stated that the incident ‘appears to contravene the club’s charter’ and Leeds will be awaiting any potential punishment.

Casilla ‘loose ends’

Kiko Casilla is on the brink of becoming a Leeds United player. The Real Madrid goalkeeper is set to leave on a free transfer and will be available by the weekend.

AS reports that he missed training this morning as he has travelled to England to undergo a medical with Leeds ahead of joining on a permanent deal. The report adds that only a ‘few loose ends’ have prevented a deal going through so far.

It would seemingly end Leeds’ hunt for a new goalkeeper after a leg break ended Jamal Blackman’s spell at Elland Road.

Clarke suitors

Tottenham Hotspur have joined the list of clubs interested in Jack Clarke. The Premier League side are reportedly keeping tabs on Leeds United’s excellent teenage winger.

Football.London suggests he is on Mauricio Pochettino’s radar. The Argentine has a good relationship with Bielsa. However, no deal is expected to happen at this stage of his Leeds progression.
