Leeds United round-up: Bounedjah rivals, Bamford international hopes and Cibicki future
Leicester City are reportedly interested in signing long-term Leeds United target Baghdad Bounedjah. In fact, according to DZ Football, Leicester are close to agreeing on a deal for the player.
Stade El Doha reports that the Algerian international is on his way out of Al Sadd in the Qatari Stars League for £10 million.
Leeds have previously been linked with the goal-machine, who has scored an incredible amount of goals in 2018.
Mick McCarthy has confirmed he wants Patrick Bamford to play for the Republic of Ireland. The striker, who has suffered a minor setback in recovery from a knee problem, qualifies through his grandparents.
Speaking to Goals on Sunday, as reported by the Irish Independent, the new Irish boss said he is ‘intending’ to talk to the Leeds player.
Pawel Cibicki is not only wanted by Elfsborg. According to Fotbollskanalen, IFK Norkopping are also keen on the player.
The same report suggests that nothing will be discussed regarding his future until the New Year.
A future at Leeds, however, looks increasingly unlikely.
