Ailing Ayling
Luke Ayling will be out of action for two months with a knee injury, as reported by the Yorkshire Evening Post. The defender left the field in some distress in the weekend tie against Nottingham Forest and it has now been confirmed he has suffered damage to his medial collateral ligament.
The 27-year-old, who missed a large part of last season through injury, now looks unlikely to play for Leeds again this year.
Ayling has been in good form this term and he joins Patrick Bamford and Izzy Brown on the sidelines with serious knee problems.

Curtis wanted
Leeds United are said to be one of many teams interested in the signature of Ronan Curtis. The Irish midfielder has been in fine form for Portsmouth this season, helping the South-Coast club to the top of League One.
TeamTalk are now reporting that Leeds, along with Derby and Middlesbrough, is one of 30 teams keeping tabs of the player, who only headed to Fratton Park from Derry City in the summer.
Jack happy
Leeds United winger Jack Harrison has been discussing his time on loan at Middlesbrough last season. The Manchester City winger told Leeds Live that he was happy to take his time over deciding whether Leeds was a good move for him this summer, after his rushed switch to Middlesbrough in February.
He confirmed that his stint at the Riverside was ‘a little bit’ frustrating but that he also learned plenty about conducting himself when things were not going to plan.
