No freebies

Despite their injury concerns, Leeds United are not expected to sign a free agent before January. It comes after Leeds lost Patrick Bamford until the new year with a knee injury. Many have suggested that Leeds might look into the possibility of signing a forward on a free, but it appears that idea will not get approval at Elland Road.

Phil Hay from the Yorkshire Evening Post confirmed as much on his Twitter account earlier today, with Leeds ready to rely on youngsters instead.

Bailey backing

Leeds United goalkeeper Bailey Peacock-Farrell has been given a vote of confidence by one former Leeds stopper this week. Paul Robinson says he is ‘pleased’ to see the young keeper remains the number one at Elland Road and thinks he has a big future in the game.

The 21-year-old recently earned his first cap for Northern Ireland and is holding off competition from Jamal Blackman in the keeping ranks.

International success

Last night was a good night on the international scene for Leeds United players.

Mateusz Klich scored for Poland in a 1-1 draw with the Republic of Ireland. Meanwhile, Stuart Dallas found the back of the net as Northern Ireland beat Israel 3-0.
