Milner’s back, back again

It appears to be James Milner season again. The local lad and self admitted Leeds fan has long been linked with a glorious return to Elland Road.

Reports today have emerged suggesting that the player is open to a Elland Road return.

He could reportedly be keen on a move if Leeds are promoted and he cannot find a solution to his current contract situation at Liverpool, where he becomes a free agent in 2020.

Leeds fans are undoubtedly hopeful Milner might one day make a comeback to West Yorkshire however, it appears this story stems from a throwaway line at the end of the Daily Mail’s report on his Liverpool contract situation. Leeds fans will no doubt take with a pinch of optimistic salt.

Roofe update

Kemar Roofe will not be back in time for Leeds United’s game with Sheffield Wednesday. The club’s top scorer has been suffering with a calf problem and it was hoped he might return in time for Friday’s fixture.

However, Marcelo Bielsa has confirmed to the Yorkshire Post that the Hillsborough clash will come too soon for the club’s talisman in attack.

Tyler Roberts will be expected to continue in attack, with Patrick Bamford also sidelined.

Alioski trim

Ezgjan Alioski was also speaking to the press this afternoon. The Macedonian spoke about his recent form and also his weight loss at the start of the campaign.

He stated that Bielsa’s strict pre-season regime had seen him ‘lose some fat’ and that he was feeling in great shape.

The left-winger has been an ever-present for Leeds so far this season.
