Leeds United face further competition for the signature of Abel Hernandez this summer. Leeds have tabled a contract offer for the Uruguayan, who is a free agent having left Hull City.
But it soon emerged that Galatasaray also want the striker and now a return to Serie A is being mooted.
Hernandez, who previously played for Palermo in the Italian top-flight, is wanted by Genoa – according to reports.
Il Secolo XIX is reporting, as relayed by TMW, that Genoa have also approached the striker with a contract offer.
Hernandez has a big decision to make over his future this summer, with Leeds hoping he will decide on a move to Elland Road.
Leeds United are still interested in Peterborough United striker Jack Marriott, but the Posh continue to resist bids for the player.
The striker scored 33 goals last season and can leave for the right price this summer.
However, it would appear that price-tag has not yet been met and the League One side are standing firm – as reported by the Bristol Post.
Bafana Bafana interest
Whilst the World Cup is currently underway it seems one talented young Leeds United player can start dreaming of an international future himself.
Max McMillan is being lined up to represent South Africa on the national scene. According to Soccer Laduma, the young Leeds forward is wanted by the Bafana Bafana, as they hunt the globe for more eligible talent.
Whilst still young, his older brother Alex of Grimsby Town is also being targeted and could even make a move to South Africa soon.
The pair qualify to play for the African nation via their father’s heritage.
