Ekuban talks

The chairman of Trabzonspor has confirmed that his club are in talks with Leeds United striker Caleb Ekuban over a potential move to the Super Lig.

Agaoglu Agalou has told Sabah in Turkey that the Italian striker is being spoken to as he is available for a ‘low fee’.

Ekuban has struggled to cement a place in the Leeds first-team since his arrival from Chievo last summer and has no chance of first-team football under Marcelo Bielsa.

Saiz relief

Leeds United playmaker Samuel Saiz has been linked with La Liga side Valencia this week. El Gol Digital has suggested that Los Che are keen on the player, who has become an integral member of the Leeds starting XI in recent times.

Some good news though. That report suggested that the Leeds star was only being targeted if Valencia failed to get their hands on Goncalo Guedes.

The Portuguese striker switched PSG for Valencia today in a deal reported to be in the region of £36.2 million.

Team news

Leeds take on Preston North End in the League Cup this evening. In regards to team news, the West Yorkshire side will remain without Adam Forshaw and Liam Cooper who are injured. However, Stuart Dallas could return after recovering from a thigh strain.

Several fringe players may get a chance in the starting XI, with Jamal Blackman, Tom Pearce and Patrick Bamford likely starters.
