Bielsa on Brown
Leeds United boss Marcelo Bielsa has refused to give a timeline on the potential return to action of loanee Izzy Brown. The Chelsea-owned star arrived on deadline day but is still recovering from a serious knee injury he suffered last term.
It was rumoured that the attacker would be likely to return to action in October following the recovery.
However, speaking to the press today, Bielsa would not give a definitive date. He stated that it has ‘been a long time’ since Brown has played and his return was certainly not imminent.
Under-23s draw
Leeds United’s under-23s have played out a 2-2 draw with Sheffield Wednesday in the league this afternoon.
Leeds played a strong team and took a 1-0 lead courtesy of a calamitous own goal from Wednesday’s keeper.

However, Jack Clarke needed to score late on for Leeds to claim a draw.
There was another injury blow. Conor Shaughnessy had to limp off after Leeds had already made three subs, leaving them down to 10 men.
Clarke ready
Tom Clarke believes Preston North End have what it takes to get the better of Leeds tomorrow evening.
The 30-year-old believes his side have learned lessons from their EFL Cup win over Leeds recently which will help them grab the win.
He told the club’s official website of his belief that his team could ‘take a lot’ from the tactics on show that game and use it tomorrow night.
