Leeds United are reportedly interested in a move for QPR midfielder Massimo Luongo. As reported by London Football News, Leeds and Nottingham Forest are both keen on the 43-cap international.
QPR are ready to sell the Australian, whose contract expires next summer, amid fears he could leave for free in 12 months time.
Leeds United are undoubtedly on the hunt for new recruits. Luongo is now an experienced Championship operator. His tireless style could certainly appeal to Marcelo Bielsa.
But Leeds United fans might be alarmed to hear that a former, less heralded Leeds manager, also wanted him at Elland Road.

It was reported in January 2016 that Steve Evans was keen on Luongo.
Australian source The World Game carried the news. They suggested that Evans was monitoring Luongo’s situation. It came after Luongo fell out of favour with former QPR boss Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink.
Luongo had been in the news throughout 2015. He showcased astonishing form with Australia, which earned him a Ballon d’Or nomination.
In the end, Luongo played himself back into the QPR starting XI that January. Any interest in his services, eventually, fell on deaf ears.
Evans was, however, right to be keen on Luongo. He could easily be a good addition to the current Leeds set-up under Bielsa and a deal would undoubtedly be welcomed three years on.
