Leeds United were recently credited with an interest in the FC Metz striker Habib Diallo. As reported by Le Quotidien du Foot, the Senegalese frontman is on the radar of the West Yorkshire club ahead of the next transfer window. Of course, this is contingent on Leeds potentially being promoted to the Premier League, a situation currently mired in doubt due to the global health crisis.
That report suggested Metz could be interested in selling the player, should a team match his €20 million (£17.7m) valuation.
Well, the latest report from LQDF, suggests Leeds would be hoping to get him for less.

It is reported that Leeds are considering a €15 million (£13.3m) approach for Diallo.
Leeds are certainly going to be in need of an extra striker should they end up back in the Premier League.
Patrick Bamford has proved inconsistent in front of goal, despite his excellent work-rate. Meanwhile, Jean-Kevin Augustin is currently only a loanee and Leeds have barely seen the RB Leipzig-owned Frenchman in action.
A deal would make Diallo the most expensive striker in Leeds United’s history, beating the reported £11 million the Whites paid for Robbie Keane (Mail) and Robbie Fowler (Telegraph) in 2001.
But considering Diallo’s impressive 48 goals in 111 games for Metz, it might be a record worth breaking.
