The report claims that Leyton Orient are open to selling the player, as his current contract expires at the end of the season. However, the recently promoted side would want him loaned back for their League Two campaign.

Happe was instrumental in helping Orient back to the Football League last season. The young defender started the season on the bench, However, he emerged as a first-team regular in January and went on to play the final 18 games of the season as a starter.

Leeds have already signed a defender this summer. Ben White arrived on loan from Brighton until the end of the season.

Which means signing Happe and allowing him back to Orient for the season could actually be a fruitful plan for the West Yorkshire side.

Leeds have recently conducted successful business with Orient, signing young striker Sam Dalby in January 2018. That could also give Leeds an advantage in any potential transfer pursuit.

This is certainly one for Leeds fans to keep an eye on this summer.
