Leeds United fans react to potential Qatari investment reports

Leeds United were narrowly beaten by Derby County in the Championship play-offs, denying them in their quest to reach the Premier League.

Some potentially exciting developments could be taking place at the club ahead of next season, however.

The Whites could be set to receive fresh investment after L’Equipe reported news of a meeting between the Whites and PSG owners Qatar Sport Investment (QSI).

The report claims that the boss of QSI, Nasser Al-Khelaifi, is set to meet with Leeds chief Andrea Radrizzani this week in Doha.

Radrizzani isn’t thought to be keen on offloading a majority share, although he would welcome some fresh investment into the club.

QSI were reportedly interested in purchasing Roma, according to L’Equipe, although their desire to have a presence in English football makes Leeds a more attractive proposition.

The Whites were recently bolstered by the news that boss Marcelo Bielsa will continue in his role for the 2019/20 campaign.

After failing to win promotion it was anticipated that the world-renowned manager may walk away. News regarding a potentially hefty transfer kitty will surely make his decision to stay all the more worthwhile though.

Naturally, Leeds fans have started discussing these latest developments on social media.
