Leeds United appointed Marcelo Bielsa in the summer and also went about making some wholesale changes to the squad. Plenty of new faces arrived, but others were told their services were no longer needed.
One of those players was Hadi Sacko. The first permanent signing of Andrea Radrizzani’s leadership at Elland Road, the Malian had previously impressed on loan from Sporting Lisbon. Leeds spent a fee believed to be in the region of £1.75 million for the player, as reported by the Yorkshire Evening Post.
However, his form never reached that he demonstrated whilst on loan at the club.

Sacko struggled to provide an end product at Leeds and played just 14 games in the Championship last season. Only one of those appearances came from the start.
So this summer, it was not a surprise to see Leeds moving him on.
Spanish side Las Palmas took him on loan and he is hardly proving Leeds wrong in the Segunda Liga.
Sacko is yet to start a game for the club and has been left out of the squad for their last three matches.
When he arrived at the Spanish club he spoke of his desire to help the club ‘be successful’ and ‘add his qualities to the team.’ Unfortunately, it has not been a dream start to life on Gran Canaria.
