Leeds United’s talented young left-back Tom Pearce has signed a new deal at Elland Road. The 20-year-old, who made his England under-21 debut recently, played five games last season and scored one goal. His contract was due to expire in the summer, courting the attention of several Premier League clubs.
However, Leeds have now tied him down to a four-year-deal that will hopefully help them solve their left-back troubles for the foreseeable future.
England defender Danny Rose has been discussing his time at Leeds United. The Tottenham Hotspur full-back will return to Elland Road this evening for the international friendly with Costa Rica.
He spoke on the FA’s official website of how much he enjoyed growing up at Thorp Arch and of his fond memories of being at Leeds.
He left the club during their financial turmoil in 2006, joining Spurs where he remains today.
Leeds United striker Marcus Antonsson says he is not giving up on his Elland Road career. A summer arrival from Kalmar in 2016 the 27-year-old struggled to settle in his debut season for Leeds.
He spent last season on loan at Blackburn Rovers and has been linked with a return back to his native Sweden. The player, speaking to Expressen, admitted he was ‘flattered’ by interest from back home. However, he is currently focused on returning to England and fighting for a Leeds future.
