Leeds United’s hunt for a new manager is hopefully at an end. According to The Telegraph, a move for Marcelo Bielsa should be completed within the next 24 hours.
The Argentine has swiftly emerged as the number one target for Leeds in recent weeks, ever since they first sacked Paul Heckingbottom at the start of the month.
The report claims that the former Chile and Athletic Bilbao coach has agreed to a deal in principle which now simply needs to be ratified. He was apparently not keen on the move at first but has been talked around by Leeds’ apparent ambition.
Leeds fans will now be hoping to hear an official announcement by tomorrow.
The same report confirms that Leeds had begun preparing for the worst regarding Bielsa and had started considering a move for Aston Villa manager Steve Bruce.
It would appear that should the Bielsa deal still not happen, then Bruce could become a shock overall target for Leeds.
Polish goalkeeper Kamil Miazek is set to sign a new deal at Leeds. According to a report in Polish outlet Skuaci, the 21-year-old will sign a new one-year deal with the option of a future extension.
The same report also claims that the Polish stopper has his eyes on the number one jersey at Elland Road.
