Aston Villa are reportedly considering the sale or loan of Ivory Coast attacker Jonathan Kodjia. According to Birmingham Live, the forward is unhappy with his current situation at Villa Park, having seen his first-team opportunities dwindle under Dean Smith.
Angers, his former team in France, are believed to be interested and a loan deal could be on the horizon for the player who joined Villa in a £15 million deal in 2016. He is believed to want a move in order to secure his place in the Ivory Coast squad for the African Cup of Nations in the summer.
One team who were linked with a move for the player in the summer were Leeds United.
As reported by the Express and Star, he was considered an option after the club had given up hope of signing Matej Vydra from Derby County.

In the end, Leeds signed Patrick Bamford, but he has been barely used because of a knee injury this term.
So should Leeds rekindle their interest in the player?
He would be an excellent recruit. Capable of playing in a number of positions, he would certainly help take the load off of Kemar Roofe.
Aston Villa could also benefit from any deal. Kodjia scoring goals against teams potentially in the way of their own play-off push would only benefit the club.
Kodjia has scored 43 goals in 112 Championship games since joining Bristol City in 2015 and would give Leeds the extra firepower they need to secure promotion.
