Leeds United were linked with a host of players over the summer and one that kept coming up was long-term target Ryan Kent.
As reported by numerous outlets, the West Yorkshire side tried desperately to bring Kent to the club from Rangers, following a similar attempt to sign him from Liverpool in 2019.
As reported by talkSPORT, Leeds had a £10 million bid for Kent rejected and eventually decided not to pursue a deal as it became clear the Scottish side and the player were not overly keen.

Kent has since gone on to have a stellar start to the season which will have Leeds green with envy. The 23-year-old has been integral to Rangers’ excellent start to the season, scoring five goals and supplying five assists from his 15 games played so far this season.
Leeds will therefore be disappointed a deal could not be done for a player who is clearly a long-term object of admiration for director of football Victor Orta.
However, on the plus side, Leeds are hardly struggling in his absence.
Jack Harrison would have been Kent’s main competition on the left-wing and the Manchester City loanee has been in fine form so far this season.
On top of that, Leeds eventually snapped up Raphinha from Rennes and the Brazilian has already shown glimpses of his mercurial talent.
Whilst Leeds will be gutted they did not get their hands on Kent, they are not currently paying the price.
