Aston Villa may have a fight on their hands keeping hold of midfielder John McGinn this summer. The Sun is reporting that Manchester United see him as a potentially transformative addition to their midfield this summer.
The price-tag involved, however, is raising eyebrows. Aston Villa would demand £50 million for the player.
One team that will be hoping this deal does not come off are Leeds United.
Leeds’ star midfielder Kalvin Phillips is currently a target for Aston Villa. The promoted Championship side were linked with the player by The Telegraph earlier this month.

That report suggested Aston Villa were considering a £14 million bid for the player this summer. However, as reported by The Sun, Leeds quickly slapped a £30 million price-tag on their prized possession.
Essentially that is a hands-off label on their dynamic midfielder.
However, if Aston Villa received £50 million for McGinn, Leeds might be in trouble.
Not only would Aston Villa have more money to spend, but they would also desperately want to fill a midfield void. If an offer near £30 million actually landed on Leeds chairman Andrea Radrizzani’s desk, he would have to consider a deal.
If McGinn heads to Old Trafford, Leeds might have a bigger fight on their hands keeping hold of Phillips.
