Leeds United midfielder Mateusz Klich has been commenting on his missed penalty from earlier this season.
The Poland international recently signed a new contract at Elland Road and is a near-unanimous fan favourite at the West Yorkshire club.
However, he did leave the fans feeling frustrated earlier in the campaign when he dragged a penalty wide against Derby County. Leeds were 1-0 up at the time and, unfortunately, went on to concede a late equaliser from Chris Martin.

Speaking to the Yorkshire Evening Post, however, Klich made it clear he would do the same if given the chance to score from the spot again.
“…Against Derby I sent the keeper the wrong way and I missed the goal. I was surprised I missed the goal, it’s better if he saves because how can you miss the goal from 11 metres?”
“No penalties any more.
“I would not change technique, if I get another penalty I would try to score the same way. I’m just waiting for the keeper to move and if he doesn’t move I shoot in the corner, that’s it.”

Leeds fans have got used to missed penalties in recent times. The club have made a habit of missing from 12 yards.
Patrick Bamford netted at the weekend and it appears he is now the first-choice again from the spot after the brief foray into allowing Klich an opportunity.
In fairness to the Pole, it was only the second time he has missed a penalty in his career, having previously scored seven of his eight attempts.
But telling goalkeepers across the country what he is going to do from the penalty spot might not be the best idea he has ever had. You can bet he smashes the next one into the top corner.
