Leeds United will return to first-team training tomorrow looking to right the wrongs of last season.

The Whites were stunned by Derby County in the play-off semi-final and must now prepare for another gruelling campaign of Championship football.

This summer has seen lots of speculation over the future of midfielder Kalvin Phillips.

Some news to delight the Leeds faithful has emerged courtesy of The Sun, however, with the club standing firm on a £30 million valuation.

That will almost certainly put Aston Villa off his services and ensure Leeds get to keep their star man for at least another season.

Leeds took the time out to interview Phillips for their official website this past week.

The 23-year-old doesn’t appear to be keen on leaving Elland Raod and is chomping at the bit to get going again.

He told the official website: “The summer has been good, I’ve kept myself in shape and have been working hard. I’m just looking forward to the upcoming season starting now.

“I’m very excited for Monday, the summer has been quite short, but I don’t mind that.”

Following the article with Phillips’ quotes being posted on Twitter, the Leeds fans were delighted at what the midfielder had to say.

Here’s a selection of Tweets in response to Phillips’ comments:
