Leeds United’s Under-23 side romped to a 4-0 win over Charlton Athletic last night under the Elland Road floodlights.

The Whites have been in fine form of late and the future looks bright in West Yorkshire.

Last night’s resounding outcome was the sixth game without defeat for Carlos Corberan’s mightily impressive charges.

Goals came from Jordan Stevens, Kun Temenuzhkov, Pascal Struijk and Mateusz Bogusz on a memorable night.

It was Stevens’ opener that caught the eye as the 18-year-old rounded-off a stunning free-flowing move.

Leeds supporter Adam Floyd Thomas tweeted a video of the superb team goal:

The Whites have a proud history of allowing academy graduates a platform to play first-team football.

Given the current form of the Under-23 outfit, a few more could earn opportunities before the season comes to a close.

The defensive midfielder played nine games for the promotion hopefuls and looked largely impressive.

Upon his return to Leeds, he was handed his first-team debut, with Marcelo Bielsa throwing him on for the last 14 minutes of a defeat to Stoke back in January.

After the latest comprehensive win for the development squad, Twitter reacted to Stevens’ well-taken strike.
