Patrick Bamford leads the way with seven goals for Marcelo Bielsa’s team and is very much the focal point of the attack.

Eddie Nketiah is on loan from Arsenal but could return to the Gunners in January.

The 20-year-old is yet to start a league game for Leeds and they could choose to send him back to the Emirates Stadium.

If that is the avenue they go down then it would leave Bielsa in need of another attacker.

Foot Mercato does report that Sissoko would prefer to ‘finish the season with his current club’, although it remains to be seen whether that stance might change should Leeds declare a firm interest.

Whether he is capable of cutting it in the Championship would remain to be seen, although it seems like a signing that is worth the risk.

At 24 the Frenchman is at a nice age to still hold a little bit of potential.

Bielsa has proved himself as a manager capable of getting the very best out of youngsters and the Argentine could be ideal for Sissoko.

Any striker would relish playing in the current Leeds setup and Sissoko has the potential to score for fun if given the opportunity.
