Leeds United midfielder Mateusz Klich is open to the idea of playing the remainder of the club’s Championship fixtures at Wembley this season.
The Polish midfielder is currently in isolation along with the rest of the UK, with Leeds United’s promotion push to the Premier League currently under threat from the global situation.
How the rest of the football season is going to be played has become a topic of much debate for both the Premier League and the Championship.

One hypothesis, as detailed by The Times, is that Premier League games could be played behind closed doors on neutral ground, with Wembley and St George’s Park potential locations.
Klich was asked about this potential scenario when talking to Przeglad Sportowy this week and the Leeds United star seemed fairly open to the idea of playing Leeds’ remaining nine games at the home of football.
“It is hard to imagine that this would happen in London, because there are the most cases, but I take blindly any scenario that will allow to finish the season.
“I haven’t heard of such a thing yet. But I’d love to play those nine games at Wembley.”
Of course, it is still an extremely hypothetical situation but Leeds United fans might not be so keen on the Wembley idea.
Not because of the behind-closed-doors feature. Leeds fans, on the whole, have come to terms with the fact football will have to be played in such a manner for the foreseeable future given the current health crisis.
But Leeds have a terrible record in London in recent years.
Perhaps playing at St George’s Park would be the better option.
