Leeds United supporters react to Gaetano Berardi’s latest comments

Leeds United are firmly in with a shout of automatic promotion this season, currently occupying third in the Championship.

The White slipped out of the top two during the last round of fixtures after a 1-0 defeat to promotion rivals Sheffield United.

That defeat was marred by an injury to influential defender Pontus Jansson, with it looking like the Swede will be missing for three weeks.

That leaves Leeds with a void to fill and Gaetano Berardi is in pole position to deputise for the central defender.

Berardi has found first-team football hard to come by this season due to an injury problem.

The Swiss defender has been speaking to Adam Pope of the BBC and he has said he can have no complaints after battling back from the injury, stating that he has had tougher times during his career.

Berardi’s passion for the football club doesn’t go unnoticed among Leeds supporters.

The 30-year-old has played 124 times for the Whites and is a firm fan favourite.
