Leeds United have been linked with a move for Argentine talent Thiago Almada this week.
The newly-promoted side has been rumoured to be after a host of names since they confirmed their place in the Premier League next season, with Almada one of the brightest talents mentioned.
Argentine source Olé reported this week that Leeds were considering a move for Marcelo Bielsa’s young compatriot.

That news has also been shared by former Venezuelan footballer Juan Arango, who is now a football commentator, who tweeted that Leeds are ‘in the running’ for the Velez Sarsfield playmaker.
Of course, the signing of Almada would be a big coup for Leeds United, considering how highly-rated he is in Argentina.
When Manchester City were linked with the player last year, Sky Sports dubbed him the ‘new Lionel Messi’. Of course, plenty of Argentine players have been saddled with the burden of comparisons with one of the greatest footballers of all time in the past.
But Almada has plenty of the qualities that Messi possesses. Immense dribbling, an acute eye for a pass and deceptive strength. Perhaps he lacks Messi’s goal-thirst, but that could come.
He might not be the next Messi, but the next Dybala? Leeds fans would take that.
Regardless, the apparent interest has sparked some serious debate on Twitter, with plenty of Leeds fans excited at the prospect of signing a player so highly touted.
