Leeds United fans react to latest QSI takeover report

Leeds United are reportedly on the brink of being taken over QSI.

Leeds United are reportedly on the brink of a takeover from Qatar Sports Investment, the branch of the Qatari government which owns French giants Paris Saint-Germain.

As reported by the Daily Star, QSI are set to pay £10 million for a stake in the West Yorkshire club at some point in the coming weeks. They will then spend a further £120 million to purchase the club outright if Leeds United win promotion to the Premier League.

Leeds United fans have been teased with potential investment from Qatar in recent months. It was first reported by the Financial Times back in May that QSI, were looking to invest in Leeds.

Andrea Radrizzani later spoke about the possibility of a deal with QSI and The Times reported about the continued interest a month ago.

Leeds United fans have reacted with both disbelief at the rumours and of varying degrees of hope.

Some Leeds fans believe this could be fantastic for the club and potentially turn the club back into a Champions League side.

However, others doubt the veracity of the latest reports and feel it is unlikely a deal is as near as being reported.

Here is a selection of how Leeds fans reacted to the news.
