Leeds United could end up being one of the teams most directly impacted by the current football suspension as they chase an elusive promotion to the Premier League.
But, at the moment, it appears the hope is that the Championship will resume when appropriate amid the current global health crisis.
Leeds are still keeping their players fit however, with tailored programmes and personal exercise bikes given to their current players.
One player who is clearly using his is Jean-Kevin Augustin.
The January signing posted this message on Instagram earlier this week.

It immediately received plenty of response from fans on the social media site.
“Get fit lad, we need u when we re start April 4th #MOT”
Whilst kilburn2000 stated ‘get fit for those last 9 games lad’ and phil.han exclaimed ‘Get yourself ready my friend we WILL need you and we will also love you.”
Whilst others have been discussing the potential impact of Augustin getting fully fit in time for the resumption of the season.
Leeds fans are yet to see much of the French striker. The exciting January arrival was not up to full fitness after a season on the fringes at Monaco and a hamstring problem also caused issues just before the league was suspended.
However, he is a top striker and the chance to get him up to Marcelo Bielsa’s high fitness levels has been seen as a potential silver lining amid the current situation.
Whenever Leeds fans do get to see Augustin in action, they will be hoping he is the hero they have been after.

It will be a bonus if Augustin turns out to be the real deal. If he’s Bielsa fit by the time the season restarts he could be the final piece of the jig saw. Would like to see what he’s capable of but also confident we’re good enough to do it anyway, with or without him. #lufc

Wondering if this break until next month at the earliest is being used to get JKA up to bielsa fitness…. #lufc

Imagine if Bielsa used this suspension to get JKA up to “full Bielsa” for the last 9 games 😱 #lufc

A few weeks off. JKA spends 3 weeks getting fit and learning the Bielsa way. Poveda up to speed. Forshaw alive again.
Promotion in the sun. Turn it. #lufc

This break is beneficial for us. We have players who are able to recover and get fully fit in time for when we next play. Etc: Augustin #LUFC

Seriously think ‘if’ the season does resume we’ll come back even stronger, Phillips back to full fitness, Augustin can get rid of his slight injury & get up to full fitness! #LUFC
