Leeds United kept up their push for an automatic promotion place yesterday with a 4-0 thrashing of Hull City at the KCOM Stadium.

Goals from Luke Ayling, Pablo Hernandez and a brace from Tyler Roberts ensured the Whites kept up their dominance inside the top two.

It was the fourth win on the trot for Marcelo Bielsa’s men and they really do seem in cruise control towards the top-flight.

One change that was enforced upon the Leeds boss was in goal. Illan Meslier coming in to replace Kiko Casilla who was handed an eight-game ban on Friday night.

The stopper did well. Although Hull weren’t up to much, the Frenchman deserved a clean sheet on his Championship debut.

Meslier is on loan at Elland Road from Lorient and according to Team Talk, Leeds will need to pay £5.16 million if the club is promoted to the Premier League, or if the 19-year-old plays 10 games.

He does look like one for the future and it’d represent a decent piece of business if they do indeed sign him permanently.

Following yesterday’s game, he took to Twitter to speak of his delight at making his league debut.

Supporters have naturally reacted and here is a selection of them from the Leeds faithful.
