Leeds United fans react to Daniel Ayala’s performance in 4-0 win

Leeds United took on Middlesbrough yesterday and put in one of their best performances of the season so far to secure a 4-0 win. 

The Whites dominated throughout and ended up rampant winners thanks to a Mateusz Klich brace and goals from Patrick Bamford and Helder Costa. 

After the game, Leeds fans were high on their praise for the players after their exceptional performance. However, it was not just their own players that they were wanting to discuss. 

The Boro player who seemed to be getting plenty of attention from Leeds United fans was defender Daniel Ayala. 

The Spaniard has recently been linked with a move to Elland Road. 

As reported by TEAMtalk, Leeds are keen on the player along with Fulham and Stoke City. The Northern Echo has since backed up those claims, suggesting Boro are aware of Leeds’ interest.

Middlesbrough are reportedly prepared to cash in on Ayala in January as his current contract expires in the summer and they cannot afford to offer him the same terms. He is known to Leeds director of football Victor Orta so a deal certainly makes sense. 

However, over the course of Ayala’s extensive Championship playing time he has faced Leeds on several occasions and, it would seem, he has never adhered himself to the Leeds faithful.
