Leeds United fans react to Daniel Ayala rumours

Leeds United are reportedly among three Championship clubs pursuing Daniel Ayala.

According to TEAMtalk, Middlesbrough defender Ayala is attracting attention from Leeds, Fulham and Stoke City. Middlesbrough do not want to lose him but they cannot afford to extend his contract.

With less than a year remaining on his current deal, Boro are ready to cash in on Ayala. The Spaniard has over 200 times for Middlesbrough but his time at The Riverside Stadium is coming to an end.

Leeds are reportedly keen on the 29-year-old centre-back. He has vast experience at Championship level and he would be joining to add strength in depth for Marcelo Bielsa’s defensive options.

But this transfer rumours has not gone down well with Leeds fans. The Whites supporters know Ayala well from several clashes with Boro over the years. His antagonistic style of play means he has few admirers at Elland Road.
