Leeds United fans react to comments by Huddersfield Town owner

Huddersfield Town owner Phil Hodgkinson has had some Leeds United fans in stitches on Twitter following some comments made during an interview with Terriers podcast And He Takes That Chance.

Hodgkinson is of the belief that the Terriers boss Danny Cowley has a better squad than Marcelo Bielsa does at Elland Road.

His bizarre claims come despite Leeds sitting top of the pile, Huddersfield languishing in 18th and a whopping 29 points separating the two sides.

Last time out Leeds defeated their West Yorkshire rivals 2-0 but Hodgkinson doesn’t believe there is much between the sides at all.

He told And He Takes That Chance: “If you look at that Leeds game, if you cut the two squads together, I would not say, in my personal opinion, that Leeds have got better players than us barring one or two.

“I believe we’ve got better players in most positions.”

Naturally, the comments have given the Leeds supporters some entertainment during the current hiatus from football.

They have taken to social media to poke fun at their rival club’s owner and find his thought process hysterical.
