Leeds United took on Cagliari in a pre-season friendly last night as they finish preparations for the upcoming Championship campaign.
The end result was a 1-1 draw in a hard-fought affair with the Italian side. Pablo Hernandez eqaulised from the penalty spot after Valter Birsa had previously given the Rossoblu the lead. Kalvin Phillips also saw red late on for an over-zealous challenge.
It was a tough fixture for Leeds, and one that was a far better test for them ahead of the Championship campaign beginning next weekend.
It certainly appears that Marcelo Bielsa still has some concerns ahead of the campaign.
As far as plenty of Leeds fans were concerned, one of those issues is Adam Forshaw.
A notoriously divisive figure among the Leeds fanbase, the central midfielder again failed to impress in Italy.
The 27-year-old has struggled throughout pre-season and considering his inconsistent form last term, some Leeds fans are not hopeful with him in the starting XI.
But with it looking as though Leeds’ transfer business might be at an end, it seems likely that Forshaw is set to remain a starter for the club going into the new season.
These fans are clearly not happy at that potential eventuality…
I can’t watch another season of Adam Forshaw. #LUFC

Forshaw misplaced 7 passes already

Out of all the players discussed on here. Forshaw is the one I can’t warm too. Seems to slow play down, too much twisting and turning puts us in trouble too often. Just my opinion. Don’t like him next to KP at all. #lufc

Costa looks excellent, a real purposed 3 at the back tonight, 3 cbs starting not just Phillips dropping in so maybe shows what is to come, still not sure what Forshaw brings, attacking or defensively. #lufc

Forshaw can’t be in the starting 11 surely? #lufc

All i can pick up from the first half is Bielsa is happy with Davis but not with Forshaw ?? #lufc

Adam Forshaw is quite possibly the most unspectacular player we’ve ever had. #lufc

Forshaw as soon as he gets within 5 yards of the box is turning back to try pass it back to our keeper ? he’s dreadful

Wonder if Fulham want to bid for Forshaw yet? #lufc

Oasis were a fresh, hungry, raw band when Forshaw last played a productive forward pass.
