If there was one player within Leeds United’s ranks who needed to produce a big performance away at Sheffield United on Sunday, it may well have been Robin Koch.
Koch had given away a penalty in each of his first two appearances for the club. In fairness, the handball against Liverpool was extremely unfortunate. But the challenge against Fulham was unnecessary.

And with Leeds signing Diego Llorente in midweek, the Germany international was potentially under a bit of pressure to step up at Bramall Lane.
Thankfully for the Whites, Koch produced an outstanding performance as Leeds claimed a dramatic win.

The centre-back seemed to deal with everything that came his way. He was rarely beaten when the ball was in the air, and he seemed to read the game superbly throughout.
The Blades threatened to cause problems on the counter-attack. However, Koch and Liam Cooper always looked to be in control, particularly in the second-half.
And that has prompted a lot of supporters to suggest that Koch was a clear contender for man of the match. The likes of Illan Meslier and Stuart Dallas can certainly be delighted with their performances. But there is no question that Koch silenced a lot of his doubters with his display.
