Leeds United fans react on Twitter to Raphinha’s display amid links

Leeds United appear to be looking to add the icing to what is looking a very impressive cake in the final hours of the transfer window, with the Yorkshire Evening Post reporting that the Whites are in talks to sign Raphinha.

Marcelo Bielsa’s side have seemingly enjoyed a very good summer. The likes of Robin Koch and Rodrigo Moreno have already contributed in the Premier League. Meanwhile, they also have Diego Llorente waiting in the wings.

Nevertheless, it appears that they are not done yet. The Yorkshire Evening Post reports that discussions regarding a move for the Rennes winger are underway.

It remains to be seen if a deal can be done in time. But plenty of Leeds fans have made sure to catch a glimpse of the Brazilian on Sunday as he featured in Rennes’s Ligue 1 clash with Reims.

And Whites supporters are hoping that Raphinha’s superb performance proves to be the perfect way for the 23-year-old to say goodbye.

He scored the home side’s equaliser after they had gone behind after 11 minutes. Raphinha – who had produced a stunning bicycle kick from the edge of the box early on – scored off the back of a wonderful run.

And it was his corner that led to Rennes going in front in a game that would ultimately finish 2-2.

And after watching his performance, many Leeds fans expressed their hope on social media that the club would be able to get a deal across the line.
