Leeds United are out of the FA Cup. Marcelo Bielsa rang the changes for their clash with QPR today and in the end, they did not have enough to defeat their Championship rivals.
It was therefore not a great day for the Leeds players, but in particular, Tom Pearce will want to forget all about it.
The left-back was brought on at half-time for Aapo Halme. But, for the second time this season, Pearce was subbed off again later in the game.
He was taken off for Kun Temenuzhkov in the 79th minute as Leeds wanted an extra striker on the field. It was the Bulgarian’s debut, a big moment for him, but one which will have left the Leeds defender very disappointed.

It was another poor moment for Pearce in a season where he has struggled to win over his new manager.
Pearce had a brilliant end to last season under the guidance of Paul Heckingbottom. In the summer, Leeds fought hard to keep him as his contract expired, amid interest from Premier League sides.
Now he might be wondering if he made the right decision by choosing to sign that new deal.
Leeds United fans certainly had their say on the matter on Twitter…
