West Ham United are reportedly closing in on a deal to raid Brentford and finally take Said Benrahma into the Premier League after the African’s stunning 2019-20 campaign – and Leeds United fans have responded on Twitter.
Benrahma, 25, scored 17 goals and created 10 more last season after clocking up 46 appearances in all competitions. That form, which took Brentford to the Championship play-off final, has seen him linked with the Premier League throughout the summer.
Earlier this month, Algerian website Le Buteur claimed that Leeds are looking at Benrahma – who is currently on international duty with his country. He has entered the final two years of his contract Brentford, under Thomas Frank.

Sky Sports have now claimed that West Ham have agreed a deal to sign Benrahma, with a fee said to be in the region of £30million. It is claimed that David Moyes’ side have also had a £13million bid for Norwegian ace Josh King rejected.
West Ham have moved to replace the sale of Grady Diangana to West Brom, while Felipe Anderson has moved on loan to FC Porto. Manuel Lanzini, meanwhile, has struggled since suffering a long-term knee injury on international duty.
Leeds fans reacted on Twitter to the reports that West Ham are closing in on a deal to sign Benrahma from Brentford, and many Whites supporters are somewhat frustrated – with some of the opinion he would “would have been perfect” for their side.
