Leeds United have reportedly fielded a transfer offer for Basel striker Arthur Cabral.
Globo Esporte is reporting that Marcelo Bielsa is a big fan of the Brazilian striker and that an offer has been lodged for the 22-year-old.
The report claims that Leeds have offered €15 million (£13.6m) for the striker with an extra €3 million (£2.7m) in performance-related bonuses, totalling at £16.3 million. It is suggested the Swiss giants want at least €20 million (£18m) for the player but that the powerful frontman is keen on a move to the Premier League.
It is a potential move that has certainly caused a stir among Leeds United fans online.

Many have been quick to write him off. Cabral has a decent scoring record last season but it was in the Swiss League. One fan even pointed out that Gjanni Alioski had an equally impressive scoring record in Switzerland.
Albian Ajeti was one of the top scorers in Switzerland in 2018-19 and he barely made an impression after switching to England with West Ham.
Others are more optimistic. Strong, fast and powerful, Cabral’s YouTube reel is quite impressive.
One fan even pointed out that it was with Basel where a certain Mo Salah first made his name in Europe, so there is talent to be found.
Leeds United fans, on the whole, have shared a mixed reaction to the idea of bringing in Cabral. However, all are in agreement that if Marcelo Bielsa signs off on the deal, then they will trust the process involved.
