Leeds United fans react as club linked with Benfica star Florentino Luis

Yesterday reports suggested that Leeds were keen on signing Benfica wonderkid Florentino Luis and supporters have reacted on Twitter.

The 20-year-old starlet could be available for as little as £18 million this summer which could alert other clubs.

Tuttomercatoweb believes that Leeds have entered talks with the representatives of Luis over a summer switch to Elland Road.

The youngster is widely regarded as one of the next top talents in Europe. Last season he played 18 times for Benfica as they finished second in Liga NOS.

Naturally, Luis is a defensive midfielder but with Kalvin Phillips in place at Leeds, he may play in a more advanced role.

The twice capped Portugal under-21 international can play in a more natural central midfield role and would be a brilliant signing for Leeds.

Some fans seem to think he might not be needed though. Plenty are concerned that he’ll take the place of Phillips who is deemed an important player.

Others, however, are delighted with the link and would love to see Luis strutting his stuff in a Leeds shirt.
