Leeds United’s under-23 outfit ran out 4-1 winners against Bolton Wanderers this afternoon at the club’s Thorp Arch training ground.

The Whites handed a 30-minute run out to Gaetano Berardi, whilst Barry Douglas also got more minutes under his belt.

Ian Poveda continued his work towards match fitness by playing and Jordan Stevens also got a run out after being an unused substitute at Forest on Saturday.

It was one-way traffic for a large part of the encounter with Leeds going 4-0 up thanks to goals from Niall Huggins, Liam McCarron, Stevens and Bobby Kamwa.

Goalkeeper Elia Caprile saved a second-half penalty from Joe White, although his rearguard was eventually breached when Callum King-Yarnes pulled a goal back.

It was the performance of 19-year-old Stevens which caught the eye, however. The youngster has been included in Bielsa’s squad more recently and the future looks bright.

His well-taken goal delight supporters and they took to Twitter after the game.

The midfielder arrived at Elland Road in 2018 from Forest Green Rovers and has made five appearances for the Whites.

Leeds fans were quick to rave about his goalscoring heroics against Bolton, with some seemingly wanting him in the first-team soon.

Here is a selection of tweets from the Whites’ faithful.
