Leeds United fans laud Raphinha for showing in Manchester United thrashing

Leeds United were thumped 6-2 by fierce rivals Manchester United at Old Trafford as Marcelo Bielsa’s men endured a torrid afternoon.

The Whites fell behind after 67 seconds and found themselves 4-0 down after just 37 minutes.

Things improved a little in the second half but not enough to stop Manchester United completing a comprehensive rout.

One man who did win some praise from Leeds supporters, however, was Raphinha.

The dazzling winger stole the show with some neat touches, whilst he also claimed two assists.

The 24-year-old signed in the summer from Rennes for £17 million and already looks like becoming a really important player for Bielsa.

Raphinha has been operating on the right flank for Leeds but does have the versatility to roam.

He played on the right against United and was largely impressive dispute a poor performance from Leeds.

Raphinha is adapting nicely to life in English football and supporters will hope it won’t be too long before they can watch him in action.

The flyer was a constant menace to the Red Devils’ defence and thoroughly deserved his two assists.
