Liam Cooper and Kalvin Phillips heap praise on Eddie Nketiah after Leeds beat Brentford

The on-loan Arsenal man proved the matchwinner at Elland Road.

Leeds United went to the summit of the Championship last night with a 1-0 win over Brentford at Elland Road. On-loan Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah grabbed the winner nine minutes from time.

The Whites are yet to taste defeat this season and boss Marcelo Bielsa has once again hit the ground running in the Championship.

Leeds have been here before in August, however, and the key this season is to remain consistent throughout the campaign.

Nketiah could well prove to be a quality piece of loan business by the Whites.

The 20-year-old grabbed his second goal for his temporary club, with his first coming last week against Salford City in the EFL Cup.

Following the game, both Liam Cooper and Kalvin Phillips took to social media to rave about the performance of the on-loan Arsenal youngster:

Both key men were delighted with the performance of the talisman and it would appear he is settling into his new surroundings with aplomb.

Nketiah himself was delighted to net his first league goal for his new club. He posted a tweet himself with images of him celebrating his winning strike:

Nketiah has now given Bielsa a headache of sorts. Patrick Bamford has been in decent form so far this season, but a first league goal for the youngster last night gives the boss with a tough choice to make on Saturday.

The question Leeds fans will be asking is whether or not the boss can get them both on the pitch at the same time.
