Jack Clarke has left Tottenham Hotspur on loan for the third time since completing a move to Spurs from Leeds in the summer of 2019, this time to Stoke City – and two Leeds players have responded to his Instagram post.
The 20-year-old winger clocked up 25 appearances for Leeds in his first season and under Marcelo Bielsa, he netted two goals and laid on a further two assists – earning a £10million (Standard) move to Tottenham.
However, it has hardly gone to plan for Clarke at Spurs. He returned to Leeds initially but only made three more appearances. Recalled by Spurs, he then went to QPR but could only manage seven games for Mark Warburton.
But he returned to Spurs in the summer and impressed Jose Mourinho. He has since played three times for Tottenham’s senior side and now a loan to Stoke has occurred – a third loan since his permanent Spurs move.

Clarke will be hoping to improve on what has been a difficult spell in his career – and get some much-needed game time under former Northern Ireland boss Michael O’Neill and prove to Spurs fans why he cost £10million.
Luke Ayling sent a touching message to Clarke on his Instagram post, wishing the England Under-20 man the best of luck – as did Tyler Roberts, who wished him “all the best” before commenting on the link-up with Rabbi Matondo.
Clarke responded to both players, telling Ayling that he hopes Leeds continue to push this season.
