Leeds United fans react to Daniel James goal for Swansea City

Leeds United overtook Sheffield United in the race for automatic promotion with a 2-0 win at Preston North End last night.

A defeat for the Blades at Birmingham City tonight would see the automatic promotion race be in Leeds’ hands.

It has been a scintillating maiden season in English football for boss Marcelo Bielsa.

Even if his team doesn’t secure a place in the top-two, you certainly wouldn’t back against the Whites winning the play-offs.

Back in January, Bielsa tried to land Dan James from Swansea in order to compliment his current crop.

The deal collapsed at the eleventh hour, as confirmed via the BBC, with the Swans pulling the plug on the £8.5 million deal.

If Leeds secure a place in the Premier League there is every possibility they might return to try and land James.

The Welsh sensation has been in fine form of late, netting his fifth of the season against Stoke City last night.

Following his goal in last night’s contest, Leeds fans were intrigued that the 21-year-old was still in decent form.
